Spinal Manipulation
Spinal manipulative therapy, or SMT, is the application of a quick “thrust” to a joint or multiple joints to the target segment(s). This technique typically causes joint sounds or “cracking” called cavitations.
The audible sounds are pressure being released from the joint (s) and are very safe and effective for many diagnoses and symptoms. SMT can help improve joint range-of-motion, increase blood flow, decrease tissue restrictions and even improve soft-tissue mobility.
